A Full-Circle Moment with Halestorm

ree

It’s not every day that Halestorm unexpectedly shows up at your show.

Nearly a decade ago, in 2014, while fronting Thundermother, Clare Cunningham was signed to the same label as Halestorm. They played on the same bill, and there were even conversations about collaborating on a duet someday—though it never came to fruition.

Fast forward to Friday December 19th 2025, while Clare was performing at McNamara’s, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger walked in halfway through her set. They stayed, listened attentively, and even tipped—an act that was both humbling and deeply kind.

Toward the end of the night, Clare felt a nudge to play a Halestorm song. She followed it. In a moment no one could have planned, Lzzy Hale joined her on stage and sang alongside her, embodying the generosity and spirit of a true rockstar.

The moment felt unmistakably full-circle - one of those experiences that seems divinely orchestrated. It echoed an earlier experience from the same year, when Clare was performing a Nickelback song and realized mid-set that Nickelback themselves had walked in and were listening. Two entirely unplanned encounters, both rooted in simply showing up, remaining obedient, and allowing moments to unfold naturally rather than forcing them.

Gratitude goes out to Lzzy Hale - a powerhouse talent and genuinely kind human. Halestorm continues to be an incredible band worthy of every bit of support they receive.
