Clare has shared a heartfelt tribute following the passing of Phil Campbell.
Clare remembers Phil not only as an extraordinary musician from Motörhead, but also as someone she knew personally who supported her career during an important season of her life. While performing with Thundermother, the band worked with Motörhead and their tour manager, Victor Marin, arranged for Clare to sing and work on some of Phil’s project Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.

Phil also went out of his way to help Clare with her first visa to come to the United States, providing a handwritten letter of support for the process. Although her lawyers initially advised that the letter needed to be submitted digitally, an exception was made for Phil’s handwritten letter.
She remembers Phil as someone full of life, humor, and generosity who consistently lifted others up. Clare also shared her prayers and condolences for his family, especially his son Dane, whom she had the pleasure of meeting and playing with during his visit to Nashville several years ago after Phil connected them.

Cunningham says she carries immense gratitude for Phil and the kindness he showed her, noting that his legacy will live on not only through the music he created but also through the many lives he touched. 🎸
