Three Years Sober: Clare Cunningham’s Journey of Freedom

ree

On October 16, 2025, Clare Cunningham marks three years of living a clean and sober life—a milestone that reflects both her personal commitment and her ongoing journey of faith and healing. For Clare, sobriety isn’t just about abstaining from substances; it’s about embracing a life of clarity, purpose, and spiritual freedom.

Many assume sobriety only applies to those who have struggled with severe addiction, but Clare has discovered that choosing a sober lifestyle is also about cultivating a clean and healthy spirit. It’s about creating space for God’s presence, fostering emotional and mental well-being, and walking fully in the calling He has placed on her life.

Looking back, Clare acknowledges the challenges along the way—the moments of doubt, the battles with old patterns, and the persistent influence of the enemy. Yet she also celebrates the victories: the deepening of her faith, the restoration of relationships, and the freedom to live without the chains that once held her down.

Today, Clare continues to inspire others through her music, advocacy, and testimony, showing that freedom is possible and that a life surrendered to God brings lasting hope and transformation. Her three-year sobriety milestone is not just a personal achievement; it is a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and the unshakable promise of new beginnings.

She recently, I had the honor of sharing her testimony and music at Recovery Church Nashville and they blessed her with a beautiful 3-year sobriety cross 🏥

“He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire; He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.”

Psalm 40:2 ✝️
